nice for starters, but not very detailed
Datum:09.02.2010 - Rating: 4/5i bought the book to prepare myself for a sensory systems class of a neuroscience master's program. it is nice for an overview, but it's insufficient if you really want to know about a topic in detail. i cannot recommend it for anybody in a master's program, the kandel is the better choice here.

Datum:27.05.2009 - Rating: 4/5Eine sehr schoene Einfuehrung in die Neurowissenschaften in leicht verstaendlichem Englisch verfasst. Dient wunderbar zur einfachen Vermittlung von Grundlagen mit vielen anschaulichen Bildern und Exkursen sowie aktuellen Forschungsthemen. Allerdings zu wirklich wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten eher ungeeignet, da hierfuer ein wenig zu allgemein gehalten und nicht detailiert genug. Sehr guter Kauf, vor allem fuer einen solchen Preis!
